Make Text Bigger On Mac By Increasing Font Sizes. There is no straight procedure to increase font size on Mac other than scaling. You need to change text size for different apps and panes to make text bigger on Mac. Use this method only if you are not happy with the scaling method discussed above. Adjust the text to the size you desire or switch fonts completely (Caecilia is slightly larger and easier to read than Futura, for example, and Helvetica is bolder). This is the traditional way to adjust the font size on your e-reader. However, the Kindle PaperWhite also offers a second option that generally appeals to smartphone users.
Depending on the user and the reading environment, the default settings for your Kindle app may not be ideal for optimal readability. By changing the View Options, you can change the font size, adjust the screen brightness and/or the background color, you can adjust the application to be perfect for reading your e-books.
1. Open the Kindle app.
2. Select a book to open it.
3. When the book opens, tap the middle of the screen. Go to the bottom of the screen and tap the font icon.
4. The top row allows you to select the desired font size. The middle row allows for changing background color to white, black or sepia. The slider at the bottom is for increasing or decreasing the screen brightness.
5. Tap the screen to return to the book using your new settings.
